Planning Manager

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead planning, scheduling and project controls for Arada Development’s projects in Syria, ensuring realistic, integrated programmes aligned with development objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and manage integrated master programmes across projects and development packages.
• Establish planning and progress‑monitoring systems aligned with milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor critical paths, identify risks and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare bi‑weekly and monthly planning reports, dashboards and KPI analyses.
• Review delay events, assess Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and support claims management.
• Coordinate procurement and design interfaces to align milestones with project schedules.
• Manage consultant and contractor planning teams, set KPIs and ensure accurate programme updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10–12 years of planning, scheduling and project controls experience in large‑scale construction or real‑estate development.
• Experience across pre‑contract and post‑contract phases, baseline and recovery programmes, and EOT management.
• Regional or international experience in the Middle East is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Power BI.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, AACE or PMI‑SP are advantageous.
