Telecom Site Engineer

About the role

Modern Link for Telecommunications and IT Services, a Jordanian company providing reliable networks for businesses and communities, is hiring a full-time, on-site Telecom Site Engineer in Damascus. The engineer manages and supervises telecommunications infrastructure projects from planning through implementation, working closely with project managers, civil and structural engineers, contractors and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities and oversee the installation and commissioning of telecom equipment
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and quality requirements
• Conduct site surveys and validate structural and civil work for towers and related infrastructure
• Prepare technical reports and documentation
• Monitor performance and support testing and acceptance procedures
• Track progress and help deliver project milestones on time
• Contribute to continuous improvement of on-site processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related technical field
• Background in structural or civil engineering, with experience in telecom infrastructure such as towers, rooftops and equipment shelters
• Ability to work in field conditions and active construction or installation areas
• Willingness to travel to other sites in the region as required

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality control practices and inspection of technical specifications and safety standards
• Experience in telecom site deployment, installation and commissioning of RF, transmission and power equipment is highly beneficial
• Familiarity with industry standards, health and safety regulations and local building codes
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and site plans, and use basic engineering and measurement tools
• Strong communication, problem-solving and attention to detail; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
