Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role provides reliable financial insights to support business decisions and drives efficiency across core accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including accruals, fixed assets and reconciliations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
• Supervise transaction processing, cost allocation and support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on financial matters and support HSE compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in GCC markets and in construction, engineering or large organisations is an advantage.
