Engineering Manager

About the role

Toters is a fast‑growing on‑demand e‑commerce and delivery platform looking for an Engineering Manager to lead its mobile and backend engineering teams. You will shape the technical direction of the super‑app while fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cross‑functional team of Android, iOS and backend engineers.
• Recruit, mentor, and guide engineers, supporting their career growth.
• Oversee development of new features and improvements, ensuring performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to define solid code standards and architecture.
• Facilitate white‑board sessions for feature design and end‑to‑end integration.
• Conduct regular 1:1s to address challenges and opportunities.
• Stay current with emerging mobile and software development trends.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience designing and building mobile and web applications.
• At least 1 year of experience leading an engineering team.
• Strong grasp of software best practices: Design Patterns, Domain‑Driven Design, Clean Code, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles.
• Proven ability to define product evaluation plans with clear quality metrics.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience implementing modern architectures such as MVP or MVVM.
