Estimation Engineer – Oil & Gas Equipment & Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to develop accurate technical and commercial cost estimates for oil and gas equipment, materials and systems. The role supports bids, tenders and client proposals and requires close interaction with engineering, procurement and vendor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on specifications, drawings and bill of quantities.
• Review tender and RFQ documents to identify technical and commercial requirements.
• Obtain competitive pricing from vendors and manufacturers.
• Analyse technical datasheets to verify equipment compliance.
• Conduct comparative technical and commercial bid analysis.
• Coordinate with procurement and engineering to finalise estimates.
• Travel to project sites and client offices across Syrian cities as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of estimation experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of O&G field materials and systems (piping, valves, instrumentation, fire & gas detection, rotating equipment).
• Experience with project‑based estimation (EPC, supply contracts) preferred.
• Proficiency reading technical drawings, P&IDs and specifications.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or Industrial Engineering or related field.
