HEAT, Security & First Aid Trainer

About the role

The Sustainable Research and Development Center is looking for an experienced HEAT, Security & First Aid Trainer to co‑deliver a Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) programme in Syria. You will work alongside the Lead HEAT Trainer, focusing on first‑aid and trauma‑care components within a security‑focused curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Lead HEAT Trainer in preparing and delivering the overall training programme.
• Review and contribute to training materials, presentations, exercises, and scenario designs.
• Deliver practical first‑aid and trauma‑care training sessions.
• Facilitate field simulations, participant observation, and safety management during practical activities.
• Ensure the integration of security awareness into all training exercises.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a trainer in hostile‑environment or security contexts.
• Strong background in first‑aid and trauma‑care for challenging environments.
• Ability to design and facilitate scenario‑based learning for professionals.
• Excellent observational and safety‑monitoring skills during practical drills.
