Manager, Programmes Implementation – Syria (National Role)

About the role

The Manager, Programmes Implementation will lead the day‑to‑day delivery of ActionAid’s humanitarian and development portfolio across Syria. Reporting to the Director of the Arab Regional Office, you will ensure programmes meet donor requirements, achieve impact targets, and operate within compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of all active programmes, ensuring timely and quality outputs.
• Manage partnerships with local NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with regional functional teams (finance, monitoring, HR) to align resources and reporting.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to donors and the ActionAid Regional Office.
• Monitor programme budgets, expenditures, and compliance with donor terms.
• Lead a team of 2‑3 staff, providing supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Facilitate travel within Syria and occasional trips to Jordan for coordination and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multi‑sector programmes in conflict‑affected settings.
• Proven ability to work with diverse partners and navigate complex operational environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience meeting donor compliance.
• Willingness to undergo DBS/CRB and police checks.
