MEAL Manager

About the role

Terre des hommes Lausanne is looking for an experienced and highly motivated MEAL Manager to lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning function in its Syria Country Office. The role ensures the quality, consistency and effectiveness of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning and information‑management systems and provides strategic and technical guidance to programme teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and regularly review the MEAL framework, tools and processes for the Country Office.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership to the MEAL team, including direct supervision of MEAL Assistants and enumerators.
• Support programme and project teams in using evidence for programme steering, decision‑making, learning and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with the Program Coordinator, Project Managers, partners and regional/headquarters technical colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a small team.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Highly motivated and able to work in a challenging environment.
