Project Manager

About the role

World Vision International is seeking a Project Manager to lead the UNICEF‑funded integrated Education and ADAP project in Raqqa and Al‑Hassakeh, Syria. Reporting to the NES Area Manager, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of more than 15 staff and ensure the successful delivery of education‑related activities in line with donor requirements and national priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with UNICEF, local authorities, UN agencies and other humanitarian actors to align project objectives and avoid duplication.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, GAM, MEAL, SCM, Communications, Technical Teams, Field Operations, HR) to ensure integrated implementation.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, reporting and quality assurance, maintaining compliance with WVI standards and donor expectations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day implementation across education and ADAP components, ensuring activities follow workplans, timelines and sectoral standards.
• Maintain and utilise a Project Information Management System (PMIS) dashboard to track progress and generate reports.
• Represent World Vision in donor meetings, coordination forums and government consultations.
• Manage and mentor project staff, fostering a collaborative and results‑driven environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large, multi‑disciplinary teams in humanitarian or development settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with UNICEF and other international partners.
• Strong understanding of education programmes and ADAP interventions in conflict‑affected contexts.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive background and child‑protection checks.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
