Senior Accountant

About the role

Assets Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in the Al Mazzah Region. This full‑time, on‑site position will support the company’s diverse portfolio of real estate, hospitality, residential, retail and mixed‑use projects. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insight for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries and perform regular reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes, including variance analysis and supporting documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, review expense reports and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling activities.
• Collaborate with operations, management and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within real estate, hospitality or large diversified organisations.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
