Site Manager – Aleppo

About the role

The Site Manager leads the daily operations of the Beit Karam site in Aleppo, ensuring that all programmes, communications and finance activities meet Karam Foundation’s objectives and standards. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role combines operational oversight with community engagement to maximise impact.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management of the Aleppo site, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and donor requirements.
• Coordinate programme, communications and finance functions, aligning their activities with the site’s strategic plan.
• Maintain strong relationships with the local community, including returning Syrian families, to inform and adapt site activities.
• Monitor performance indicators, prepare regular reports for the Regional Manager, and drive continuous improvement.
• Facilitate collaboration between functional staff and their respective functional leads within a matrix reporting structure.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams in a humanitarian or non‑profit setting.
• Strong understanding of operational compliance, budgeting and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work under the direction of senior management while maintaining autonomy over site operations.
