Steel Structure Sales Engineer

About the role

The Steel Structure Sales Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Damascus. You will drive new business opportunities for steel structure projects, preparing technical and commercial proposals that meet client specifications while supporting the sales process with strong technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities in the steel construction sector.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals for steel structure projects.
• Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, interpreting drawings, specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility, accurate costing and timely delivery.
• Follow up on quotations, tenders and client inquiries.
• Conduct client meetings and site visits as required.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and manage expectations.
• Produce regular sales reports, forecasts and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven sales engineering experience in steel structures or related construction/industrial sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical, Civil or a closely related field.
• Solid knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding methods and relevant industry codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and provide guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in cost estimations.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Damascus and travel to client locations.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency
• CAD or structural design software (advantage)
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes
• Familiarity with welding methods and industry standards
