ICU Technician

About the role

The Independent Doctors Association (IDA) seeks qualified ICU Technicians to join its teams in Aleppo, Azaz, and Afrin. You will work in adult, pediatric, and anesthesia intensive care units, delivering high‑quality patient care in a humanitarian setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor and document vital signs and operate medical equipment, including mechanical ventilators and patient monitoring devices.
• Perform nursing procedures, administer medications, IV fluids, and assist with anesthesia equipment preparation.
• Respond to emergencies, participate in resuscitation, and support anesthesiologists during surgeries.
• Apply infection prevention, control measures, and patient safety procedures.
• Ensure readiness and proper functioning of anesthesia and intensive‑care equipment.
• Document all procedures and ensure accurate handover between shifts.

Required profile

• Academic qualification in Nursing from a recognized university or institute, or a qualification as an Anesthesia Technician (depending on the position).
• Minimum three years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Intensive Care Technician in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of intensive‑care procedures, vital‑sign monitoring, and use of related equipment.
