Project Manager – Damascus

About the role

International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Project Manager to lead health and integrated protection (IP) services across Damascus and surrounding governorates. The role will ensure that health programmes meet national and international standards while expanding coverage in newly accessible areas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation and scaling of health and IP services in Damascus, Rural Damascus, Homs and Daraa, including mobile medical units, static clinics and hospitals.
• Identify service gaps, develop action plans and coordinate with Health/IP Coordinators and senior technical managers.
• Provide operational oversight, training and mentorship to field‑based health staff.
• Track performance indicators, prepare regular reports and ensure accurate health data recording.
• Manage financial and logistical aspects of health and IP activities to guarantee sound oversight.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing health and integrated protection programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Ability to supervise field teams, conduct training and ensure compliance with standards.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring indicators and reporting.
• Experience with financial and logistical management of project activities.
