Business Process Engineering Lead (Telecom) – Damascus

About the role

The Business Process Engineering Lead will own end‑to‑end business process management for a telecom organization, driving optimisation, re‑engineering, automation and digitisation across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with senior stakeholders to capture current operations, pain points and strategic goals.
• Validate and approve AS‑IS documentation and define TO‑BE enterprise‑level process architecture using Lean and continuous‑improvement methods.
• Establish BPMN 2.0 modelling standards, quality benchmarks and governance frameworks (RACI, process ownership).
• Design and redesign complex cross‑functional processes in BPMN tools, produce gap‑analysis outputs and oversee implementation, go‑live coordination and post‑implementation reviews.
• Identify, assess and champion automation, RPA and intelligent orchestration opportunities, defining integration requirements with IT.
• Develop and monitor program‑level KPIs, SLAs and benefits‑realisation metrics, and maintain a reusable library of process assets.
• Mentor and review the work of the Business Process Engineer reporting to this position.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Information Systems.
• 8–10 years of BPM/business process engineering experience, including 3–4 years in a senior or lead role.
• Fluent Arabic (reading, writing, speaking).
• Hands‑on experience across the full BPM lifecycle and with at least one professional BPMN 2.0 / BPMS platform.
• Experience with RPA, workflow automation and intelligent automation concepts.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (Green Belt minimum); certifications such as CBPP/CBPL are a plus.
• Knowledge of telecom, fibre or fixed‑network environments is an advantage.
