CME Assurance & Survey Manager

About the role

We are seeking a CME Assurance & Survey Manager to lead the field quality assurance and survey programme for civil, mechanical and electrical works across our data‑center projects in Damascus. The role ensures that all construction and commissioning activities match the approved design and meet the client’s acceptance criteria from early site works through to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and run the CME inspection and survey regime across all assigned data‑center sites.
• Supervise QC inspectors and surveyors, assign tasks and review their output before it becomes part of the official record.
• Review, approve and embed contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) with hold and witness points.
• Witness and disposition activities at agreed hold and witness points before work proceeds.
• Assure commissioning from Levels 1 to 5, including Integrated Systems Testing (IST) with load‑bank and failure‑mode demonstrations.
• Verify that commissioning results meet Uptime Institute Tier III or Tier IV availability targets.
• Manage survey verification (control, levels, flatness, verticality) against tolerances and maintain calibration of survey and test equipment.
• Lead the non‑conformance process, raise NCRs and track corrective actions to closure.
• Report build‑quality status, trends and risks with clear, evidence‑based records.
• Coordinate with design, commissioning and site teams to align acceptance criteria and resolve technical queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6‑8 years of experience in CME or MEP field quality, inspection or commissioning assurance, including leadership of a site QC and survey team.
• Direct experience on data‑center or mission‑critical facilities, with hands‑on exposure to critical power, cooling and life‑safety systems.
• ISO 9001 internal or lead auditor certification or equivalent QA/QC training.
• Familiarity with standards such as TIA‑942, Uptime Institute tier criteria, ASHRAE, NFPA and EN 50600.
