Community Health Worker (CHW) – Idleb, Syria

About the role

MedGlobal is seeking a Community Health Worker (CHW) to join its health outreach team in Aldana, Idleb, Syria. The CHW will play a vital role in delivering health education, preventive care, and case management to households and community groups.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct health awareness campaigns through home visits and public gatherings.
• Perform sensitivity assessments to identify individuals in need based on set criteria.
• Manage cases while adhering to privacy protocols and maintain accurate case files.
• Make internal and external referrals, complete feedback and referral forms.
• Collaborate with the Health Officer to secure and update case information.
• Provide preventive health guidance on reproductive health, newborn and child nutrition, early breast cancer detection, personal and home hygiene, oral care, and vaccination.
• Advise community groups on diagnostic screening topics such as cancer screening.
