Community Health Worker (Idleb, Janwdia PHC)

About the role

MedGlobal is seeking a dedicated Community Health Worker to join its Janwdia Primary Health Center in Idleb, Syria. The role focuses on delivering health awareness campaigns, conducting home visits, and engaging the community in preventive health activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sensitivity assessments and identify cases that meet predefined criteria.
• Manage individual cases while adhering to privacy protocols and documentation standards.
• Make internal and external referrals, complete feedback and referral forms, and keep case files up‑to‑date with the health officer.
• Provide preventive health education on reproductive health, newborn and child nutrition, early breast‑cancer detection, personal and home hygiene, oral care, and vaccination.
• Advise and guide community groups on health‑screening topics such as cancer detection.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct community assessments and identify health needs.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality and accurate record‑keeping.
• Experience working with health officers and coordinating referrals.
• Comfortable engaging with families and public groups in diverse settings.
