Community Liaison Manager – Team Leader, Syria

About the role

The Community Liaison Manager – Team Leader will lead the design, development and implementation of community liaison strategies for mine action programmes in Syria. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will ensure that all activities are aligned with programme objectives, donor expectations, SNMAC requirements and national and international mine‑action standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute community liaison plans that support safe land release and risk reduction.
• Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs and affected communities to gather feedback and promote awareness.
• Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and SNMAC guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of liaison activities and adjust strategies as needed.
• Provide leadership and guidance to liaison staff and volunteers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community liaison, stakeholder engagement or similar roles within humanitarian or mine‑action contexts.
• Strong understanding of mine‑action programmes, donor expectations and SNMAC regulations.
• Leadership experience, preferably managing teams in challenging environments.
• Excellent communication and intercultural skills.
• Willingness to work on an unaccompanied post in Syria.
