Cost Control Engineer – Project Cost Management

About the role

The Cost Control Engineer will oversee financial performance throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to and cost efficiencies are maximized. This role works closely with project, commercial, and site teams to provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs, budgets, commitments, and expenditures across the project lifecycle.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, cash‑flow analyses, and variance reports.
• Coordinate with project, commercial, and site teams to ensure effective cost management and budget compliance.
• Review quantities, progress claims, variations, and cost‑related documentation.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and financial performance tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Strong Quantity Surveying (QS) skills are mandatory.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• English proficiency.
• Successfully completed at least one project exceeding 50,000 sqm from start to finish within the Commercial or Cost Control Department of a main contractor.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and cost‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Preferred experience in large‑scale building or construction projects.
