Dormitory Supervisor (Female) – TVET – Daily Paid

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is seeking a female Dormitory Supervisor for its Vocational Training Centre in Syria. This daily‑paid assignment supports the well‑being, safety and discipline of resident students and coordinates with staff to maintain a high‑standard living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the general well‑being of students in residence, uphold discipline in dormitories, common areas and dining rooms, especially after regular hours.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and overall upkeep of dormitory facilities.
• Organise and coordinate recreational activities in partnership with the recreation officer.
• Supervise general services staff and the centre’s nurse, and welcome new resident students with proper onboarding.
• Refer students with behavioural or mental‑health concerns to the counsellor and liaise with health staff.
• Collaborate with the steward to develop monthly meal plans that meet nutritional needs and student preferences.
• Work with the associate administrative officer to ensure timely maintenance and a safe environment.

Required profile

• University degree and/or teacher‑training or social‑worker certificate; health, safety, first‑aid or nutrition training is desirable.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Fluency in English and Arabic at UN Level II (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
• Willingness to reside on‑site at the centre for the duration of the assignment.

What we offer

• Daily rate of 27.12 USD (Grade 10) for up to three months, with possible extension.
