External Relations & Partnerships Manager

About the role

The External Relations & Partnerships Manager will lead SYCAC’s partnership development, donor engagement and organizational representation in Damascus. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with donors, UN agencies, international organisations, coordination platforms and relevant government stakeholders to expand funding and collaboration opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess new partnership and funding opportunities aligned with SYCAC’s strategic objectives.
• Represent SYCAC in coordination meetings, forums and UN‑led platforms.
• Support the preparation of project proposals, concept notes and strategic communication materials.
• Follow up on governmental approvals, regulatory procedures and compliance requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on partnership developments, risks and opportunities for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in external relations, partnerships or donor engagement within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven ability to work with international donors, UN agencies and government entities.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
