Fiber Network Planner – Damascus

About the role

The Fiber Network Planner will lead the design and quality assurance of outside‑plant (OSP) civil and fiber infrastructure projects in Damascus. You will translate survey data into implementation‑ready designs, produce engineering documentation, and ensure compliance with technical standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Validate site survey reports and GIS records for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyse survey outputs, existing infrastructure data, and engineering requirements to identify design constraints.
• Develop civil and fiber network designs, including routes, ducts, manholes, handholes, and cable pathways.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, construction plans, and supporting documentation using QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Generate and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to capture all materials, labour, and equipment.
• Coordinate with survey, implementation, operations teams, contractors and vendors to confirm design feasibility.
• Maintain documentation of design changes, approvals, and as‑built revisions for audit purposes.
• Identify and mitigate design risks such as route conflicts, constructability issues, or compliance gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of telecommunications experience, with at least 5 years in OSP design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of OSP civil and fiber infrastructure, design methodologies and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and deliver high‑quality designs on schedule.
