Finance Director

About the role

Paymera is seeking a Finance Director to lead its financial operations and drive digital transformation of its finance function. The role will support the company’s mission to build Syria’s national digital payments infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Paymera’s growth vision.
• Prepare, monitor, and control annual budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
• Lead the implementation and management of ERP or similar financial technology solutions.
• Produce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and analyses for decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
• Manage cash flow to support operational continuity and strategic investments.
• Collaborate with technology, operations, and executive teams to integrate finance across business processes.
• Build and supervise a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• CMA certification (required); CFA is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of financial sector experience, including at least 2 years as a Finance Manager.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, financial planning and forecasting.
• Proven ability to manage finance operations using ERP solutions.
• Deep understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
