Health Centre Pharmacist – Daily Paid Opportunity (Grade HL03)

About the role

The Health Centre Pharmacist will support daily pharmacy operations within UNRWA health centres, ensuring essential medicines are available and patients receive appropriate medication counseling. This position reports to the Head of Health Center and receives technical supervision from the Field Pharmaceutical Services Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement day‑to‑day pharmacy operations in line with UNRWA health policies and SOPs.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, provide technical guidance, and ensure proper training.
• Manage dispensing, receipt, and registration of medicines, guaranteeing availability of essential drugs.
• Document medicine movements in the pharmaceutical information system for inventory assessment.
• Dispense prescribed medication and advise patients on intake, side effects, and interactions.
• Support medical officers with drug‑drug interaction information and promote rational prescribing.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dispensary.
• Prepare periodic reports analysing dispensary activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
