Lead Enterprise Architect

About the role

The Lead Enterprise Architect will steer the design of a brand‑new fibre network operator in Syria. Reporting to senior project leadership, you will define the future IT ecosystem, ensure alignment with business goals, and produce the technical documentation needed for procurement and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the overall IT strategy and target‑state architecture for the greenfield operator.
• Align technology initiatives with the wholesale telecommunications business model and operating model.
• Define architecture principles, standards, and governance processes, referencing TM Forum ODA, eTOM and TOGAF.
• Own end‑to‑end architecture across business, applications, data, integration and technology domains.
• Review and approve designs from domain architects and ensure consistency across OSS, BSS, ERP, cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Create and maintain the IT transformation roadmap and coordinate cross‑domain dependencies.
• Lead preparation of RFIs/RFPs, technical evaluation criteria and procurement documentation.
• Facilitate workshops, steering committees, architecture boards and executive presentations.
• Monitor programme risks, quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and large‑scale IT transformation programmes.
• Strong background in the telecommunications sector, preferably wholesale or fibre‑network environments.
• Proven track record across OSS, BSS, ERP, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and integration domains.
• Deep knowledge of TM Forum ODA, eTOM and TOGAF frameworks.
