Nutritionist – Idleb, Syria (Kansafra PHC)

About the role

The Nutritionist will join MedGlobal’s Nutrition Team at the Kansafra Primary Health Center in Idleb, Syria. The role focuses on delivering nutrition interventions during emergency situations, supporting vulnerable children, pregnant and lactating women.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional surveys of children and pregnant/lactating women.
• Detect and screen for acute malnutrition in children under five and women of reproductive age.
• Admit identified cases to the therapeutic feeding program based on MUAC measurements and clinical assessment.
• Prescribe appropriate therapeutic or supplementary nutrition products.
• Distribute food rations and maintain accurate beneficiary records.
• Provide training to community health workers and staff on nutrition protocols.

Required profile

• Experience conducting nutritional surveys and MUAC measurements.
• Ability to identify and classify malnutrition cases in emergency settings.
• Knowledge of therapeutic feeding protocols and nutritional supplement prescription.
• Strong record‑keeping and reporting skills.
