Nutritionist – Janwdia PHC, Idleb, Syria

About the role

MedGlobal is seeking a Nutritionist to join its Nutrition Team at the Janwdia Primary Health Center in Idleb, Syria. The role focuses on delivering nutrition interventions during emergency situations, supporting vulnerable children, pregnant and lactating women.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional surveys of children and pregnant/lactating women.
• Detect and screen for acute malnutrition using MUAC measurements.
• Admit identified cases to the therapeutic feeding program based on assessment results.
• Prescribe therapeutic or supplementary nutrition products as needed.
• Distribute food and nutrition supplies to beneficiaries.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, admissions, and distributions.
• Provide training to community health workers and staff on nutrition protocols.

Required profile

• Experience in nutrition assessments and emergency nutrition response.
• Ability to work in a primary health‑center setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills for record‑keeping and reporting.
