Procurement Director – Airport EPC Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Director to lead the procurement and supply‑chain function for a major airport EPC construction project in Damascus, Syria. The role will shape sourcing strategies, manage large‑scale contracts and ensure timely delivery of critical materials and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall procurement and supply‑chain strategy for the airport EPC project.
• Develop procurement plans, schedules, budgets and sourcing strategies across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, ELV and specialist airport systems.
• Lead tendering, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase order issuance and contract management.
• Coordinate with engineering, commercial, project controls, construction, QA/QC, finance and logistics teams.
• Monitor supplier performance, manufacturing, expediting, shipping and on‑site delivery.
• Identify procurement risks, alternative suppliers and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain procurement reports, commitments, budgets and performance dashboards.

Required profile

• 15–20 years of procurement experience in large‑scale construction/EPC projects.
• At least 8 years in a Procurement Director or Head of Procurement role.
• Proven experience in airport, aviation or major infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of large procurement and supply‑chain teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain management, procurement, engineering or related field; CIPS/MCIPS preferred.
