Project Manager – Violations Documentation Project

About the role

The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression is seeking a Project Manager to lead its Violations Documentation Project. The role will coordinate the systematic collection, verification and archiving of human rights violation reports, and ensure that the project’s advanced database serves as a reliable reference for future justice processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, implementation and monitoring of the Violations Documentation Project.
• Coordinate data collection and verification activities with team members located in Syria, refugee settings and the diaspora.
• Maintain and update the central database that stores documented violations.
• Support the preparation of legal files and documentation for accountability mechanisms.
• Facilitate communication between journalists, human‑rights defenders and project staff.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in managing projects related to human rights, documentation or data management.
• Strong understanding of human‑rights documentation standards and legal processes.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
