Senior Architect

About the role

Invest Group Overseas (IGO) is looking for a Senior Architect to lead the planning, design and delivery of architectural projects in Damascus, Syria. You will be responsible for guiding projects from concept through construction while ensuring compliance with local codes and high‑quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development across all project phases, producing concepts, detailed drawings, specifications and presentations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors and government authorities.
• Ensure projects meet local building codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and deliverables, reviewing and approving design documentation.
• Conduct site visits, provide technical support during construction and resolve on‑site issues.
• Mentor and supervise junior architects and design staff.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews and project presentations.
• Identify and implement innovative design solutions to improve quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 5–10 years of professional architectural experience, with proven leadership on medium to large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods and materials.
• Excellent project management, communication and presentation abilities.
