Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager

About the role

RBF Contracting, a building contracting company focused on the design, construction and maintenance of multi-story buildings, is hiring a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager in Damascus. The manager oversees all QA/QC activities for multi-story projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality plans and conduct inspections and audits
• Monitor construction processes and materials, and document non-conformities with corrective actions
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and optimise workflows
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Train site staff on QA/QC procedures and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Support client and third-party inspections

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Prior experience in a QA/QC role in building or civil construction; experience with multi-story projects is an advantage
• Familiarity with relevant national and international quality and safety standards in construction

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of building construction methods, materials and codes, especially for multi-story structures
• Ability to develop QA/QC plans, carry out inspections and prepare technical reports
• Experience with construction documentation such as drawings, specifications, checklists and test records
• Basic use of construction and quality management software (e.g. MS Office, project management tools, digital inspection forms)
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and effective communication and leadership of site personnel
