Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to support procurement activities for its humanitarian programmes in Syria. The role will assist the Supply Chain Manager in ensuring that materials, equipment, services and works are acquired efficiently, transparently and in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Supply Chain Manager in procuring goods and services in a cost‑effective, timely and competitive manner.
• Assist Country Office and Area Office procurement processes, including preparation and management of RFQs, ITBs, RFPs and other solicitation methods.
• Provide basic procurement guidance to programme, support, partnerships teams and national partners to ensure compliance with DRC and donor policies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and contribute to reporting on procurement activities.
• Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to coordinate delivery, receipt and payment processes.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or supply chain functions, preferably within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with donor regulations and procurement best practices.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including national partners and international donors.
