Community Mobilizer – Al-Hasakeh (Areesha)

About the role

The Community Mobilizer will work in Al-Hasakeh (Areesha) under the guidance of CARE’s Protection Officer and the Protection and Women and Girls Program Manager. The role focuses on identifying protection‑related risks, raising awareness, and ensuring that vulnerable groups are included in all CARE programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess protection risks and needs within the target community.
• Deliver awareness messages and facilitate community sessions on protection and human‑rights topics.
• Participate in focus‑group discussions and gather community feedback.
• Communicate community concerns to programme managers and relevant decision‑makers.
• Support the design and implementation of inclusive interventions for women, girls, and other vulnerable groups.

Required profile

• Experience working with vulnerable populations in humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of protection, human‑rights, and gender‑based issues.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with programme staff.
• Excellent communication and community‑engagement skills.
