About the role

The Financial and Banking Institutions Clerk will work full‑time in Damascus, supporting the bank’s relationships with correspondent banks, financial institutions and corporate banking partners. The role combines operational oversight with analytical support to ensure accurate, compliant and timely processing of interbank transactions and institutional accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day correspondent banking activities and interbank transfers.
• Prepare, review and file documentation related to institutional accounts and transactions.
• Coordinate with internal Risk, Compliance and Operations teams to resolve issues and improve procedures.
• Conduct financial analysis and market intelligence to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Assist in the development and tailoring of banking products for institutional clients.
• Maintain professional communication with local and international counterparties while adhering to regulatory and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of banking operations, finance and the economic environment.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and ensure full compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal departments and external partners.
• Analytical mindset to support product development and market analysis.
