OSP Network Designer – Damascus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced OSP Network Designer to lead the design and quality assurance of civil and fiber-optic infrastructure projects in Damascus. The role involves translating survey data into detailed engineering designs that meet local codes and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Review site survey reports for civil and fiber infrastructure and validate document accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve survey discrepancies and update inventory data.
• Develop civil and fiber‑optic network designs using technical specifications and engineering guidelines.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings and layout plans in QGIS, ArcGIS or similar GIS tools.
• Generate and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to ensure complete material, labor, and equipment listings.
• Maintain documentation of design changes, survey validations, and as‑built redline drawings.
• Deliver all design artefacts within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of telecommunications experience, with at least 5 years in a design/engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Native Arabic speaker with excellent English proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS tools such as QGIS and ArcGIS.
• Experience using AutoCAD for engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of OSP processes, civil and fiber‑optic design standards.
• Ability to prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
