Senior Cost Control Manager – Airport Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Control Manager to lead cost management for a large‑scale airport EPC construction project in Damascus. The role involves overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow analysis and financial performance across all phases of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall project cost control and reporting activities.
• Establish and maintain cost plans, budgets, WBS/CBS and cost control systems.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals, forecasts and budget variances.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and management dashboards.
• Track changes, variations, claims and assess their impact on project cost.
• Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, Engineering and Finance teams.
• Identify cost risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support senior management with cost analysis and strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• 12–18 years of cost control experience in large‑scale construction/EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior cost control or cost manager role.
• Proven experience on airport, aviation, infrastructure or major building projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, change control, variations, claims and earned value management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying, finance or related discipline.
• Relevant certifications (CCP, AACE, RICS, PMP) are an advantage.
