Service Engineer – Heavy Equipment (Trucks, Loaders, Excavators)

About the role

The Service Engineer will provide advanced technical support for heavy‑equipment fleets, including trucks, loaders and excavators. The role involves diagnosing complex hydraulic, electrical and power‑train issues, performing root‑cause analysis and delivering reliable repair recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems using pressure/flow testing and circuit interpretation.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic faults, read wiring diagrams, sensors, actuators and CAN‑bus networks.
• Utilise OEM diagnostic software, electronic service tools and machine‑monitoring systems to validate repairs.
• Conduct RCA, warranty investigations and technical escalations for complex breakdowns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electrical/Electronics or Heavy‑Equipment Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5–12+ years of heavy‑equipment service/engineering experience, preferably with SANY or similar OEMs.
• Proven experience in GCC environments such as construction, mining, ports or logistics.
• Strong technical report writing and engineering documentation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced hydraulic system diagnosis and pressure/flow testing.
• Electrical troubleshooting, CAN‑bus, sensors and actuator diagnostics.
• Diesel engine knowledge (fuel, air, cooling, lubrication, exhaust after‑treatment, engine‑management).
• Power‑train expertise – transmissions, axles, final drives, swing systems.
• Root‑cause analysis, condition monitoring and reliability engineering.
