Treasury Specialist

About the role

The Treasury Specialist will be based on‑site in Damascus and will manage the company’s daily cash operations. The role ensures sufficient liquidity, supports banking relationships and contributes to accurate financial reporting within a fast‑growing food‑processing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cash flows and prepare short‑term cash forecasts.
• Execute payments, transfers and reconcile all bank accounts.
• Maintain banking relationships and optimise the use of financial instruments.
• Prepare regular treasury reports and support the financial planning process.
• Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Assist in developing and enforcing internal controls over treasury activities and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven treasury and cash‑management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food‑industry setting.
• Solid finance and accounting knowledge, including familiarity with financial statements and basic corporate finance principles.
• Strong analytical abilities for cash‑flow analysis and variance tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional work.
