Damascus Enterprise Technical Officer

About the role

The International Labour Organization is seeking a Technical Officer to support enterprise‑related technical cooperation activities in Damascus. The position is classified at grade P3 and is a one‑year fixed‑term appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of technical cooperation projects focused on enterprise development in the Arab States region.
• Provide analytical support and reporting for project activities based in Damascus.
• Liaise with ILO country offices, partners and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of project objectives.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documents, guidelines and capacity‑building materials.

Required profile

• Open to internal ILO candidates and external applicants.
• Must be able to work in Damascus and possess relevant academic or professional background in economic development, trade or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
